This platform is at home on both upright and inverted microscopes and includes resistive heating elements.

The base has a 25 mm diameter aperture and magnetic stainless steel shelves along the perimeter of the QE-1 permits the use of Warner's MCK-1 Magnetic Clamp Kit, which includes a variety of holding tools.

Removable perfusion and suction tubes allow perfusion in any of our RC or QR Series 40 imaging chambers, or in compatible 35 mm dishes. Adapter rings for Corning, Falcon, Willco, WPI, and MatTek 35 mm dishes are supplied to ensure a close fit in the QE-1 platform.

Suction and perfusion tubes feature horizontal position set-screw locks and adjustable presets on the vertical for setting the bath height. These adjustments allow easy and reproducible re-positioning of these tubes.

A redesigned suction tube eliminates tidal action and fluid flutter, making aspiration very quiet. Perfusion control can be achieved by adding a VCS Perfusion System and the DVW vacuum system.

The QE-1 mounts to a microscope stage using a Series 20 stage adapter. Adapter rings 35 mm dishes from Corning, MatTek, Nunc, Wilco, and WPI are supplied to ensure good thermal contact with the QE-1.
