(TEV-700) Two Electrode Voltage Clamp Workstation

This TEV-700 Workstation provides most of the necessary components typically used with the OC-725C voltage clamp for research involving oocytes.

The TEV-700 Oocyte Workstation provides most everything needed for patch clamp research involving oocytes.
The Workstation includes:

  • OC-725C Oocyte clamp amplifier
  • RC-3Z Oocyte recording chamber
  • MM-33L left handed micromanipulator
  • MM-33R right handed micromanipulator
  • MB/B magnetic base (2 in complete system)
  • Voltage and current electrode holders purchased separately

Notes on Electrode Holders

Two vented electrode holders with silver wires are typically used with the clamp; a straight ESW Series holder for use with the voltage headstage, and a 45° angled E45W Series holder (with mounting handle) for use with current electrode. Vented electrode holders are preferred so as to prevent pressure build-up which can damage the oocytes. Select holders based on your glass outer diameter (OD). If needed, unvented holders are also available A two meter cable is provided to connect the current electrode holder to the clamp.

Accessories

The following accessories are recommended to either complete the workstation or to improve its functionality.

BPM-1 Baseplate

This solid steel plate provides a stable platform for housing the Workstation and for mounting micromanipulators mounted on magnetic bases. The highly durable powder coating applied to the BPM surface makes it impervious to most common lab spills.


Microscope

The Z850 is a versatile and high performance stereo zoom microscope ruggedly built to withstand years of heavy usage. Offered with ball bearing boom stand.


Cold light source

The F3000 fiber optic illuminator from Photonic delivers high-performance LED illumination for the most demanding applications. The optional dual gooseneck lightguide provides good lighting of the oocyte while working and viewing through a microscope.


Data Acquisition System

The ChartMaster software is designed with the objective of streamlining data collection, data presentation, and data analysis, both during and after an experiment. The software's versatile design allows it to be used for any general purpose data acquisition need.
